“The atmosphere at FLEX provides the right amount of nurturing and flexibility to the student who has difficulty achieving in the traditional school setting. Whether it be due to the need to work, personal situations, or the need to receive instruction differently, the staff at FLEX work with the child to make sure the opportunity for a high school diploma is there. In addition, by participating in competitions with other alternative schools, FLEX provides students with some of the elements of the traditional high school setting. Unlike other alternative programs, FLEX students are given a curriculum in line with the state benchmarks. This way the student is not shortchanged because they sought a different road to their diploma. The staff there truly cares about the students on an academic and personal level. I would recommend this program to anyone considering dropping out of school or facing a hardtime in high school.”
